…of the new Administration in the White House, day one of changing the way we look at the world, at the country, at the economy, and the way business is done.
Everyone, who saw the momentum created by our new President Barack Obama and his administration yesterday, who saw the hope and the faith of people yesterday, can imagine what power that is harnessing! And now it’s upon each one of us to carry this momentum, this power forward, by taking action now.
The biggest risk is, and always has been, to be paralyzed by fear and not take any action at all. History showed us over and over again that this leads to total disaster. We can change the world only if we achieve to change the single thing we have control over: Ourselves and the way we perceive the world around us.
This is the time of big opportunities, every time when something old comes to an end and something completely new is coming into existence. And yes, there is pain in the beginning…however, then followed by the joy of having achieved something so way out of our comfort zone and personal beliefs.
Now is the time for starting a new business and making your ideas work! You might argue that in these times, where apparently there is no money around, it is by far too difficult to succeed and it might be better to wait. However, I tell you by looking into history that the greatest endeavors have been achieved especially in these times through people who dared and conquered their fear (and indeed they all had fear). Someone who is able to steer the ship through the worst of weather conditions will easily be able to do so in fine weather.
What did and do those people have that makes them winners and top achievers? Besides the unwavering faith into themselves, their willpower and their strength, they also have the wisdom to know that there are things they just don’t know and can’t do. Understanding that, they are surrounding themselves with a world-class team of specialists who can successfully implement their ideas and their vision. And they all have the right adviser they can trust and rely upon, an adviser who understands their ideas and knows their strengths. An honest adviser who always makes them aware of where they are in their quest and lets them recognize what must be decided and done.
I wish you a fantastic year 2009 where you dare to make your business ideas the success story you are dreaming about! That way change is possible and will benefit us all.
